Sooji Dhokla is one of the most favored of recent trending foods on earth. It is appreciated by millions every day. It’s easy, it is quick, it tastes yummy. They’re nice and they look wonderful. Sooji Dhokla is something that I’ve loved my entire life.

To begin with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can cook sooji dhokla using 14 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Sooji Dhokla:
  1. Make ready 1 cup fine sooji
  2. Get 1 cup sour curd
  3. Prepare 1 cup water
  4. Make ready 1 teaspoon eno
  5. Make ready 1 teaspoon cooking oil
  6. Get to taste Salt
  7. Take for tempering
  8. Get 1 tablespoon oil
  9. Make ready 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  10. Take 1 sprig curry leaves
  11. Get 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  12. Get 3 green chilies breakable
  13. Take 1/2 cup water
  14. Get 1 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves chopped
Steps to make Sooji Dhokla:
  1. Mix rava, curd, water and salt in onebowl and beat until smooth.  - Make sure that there are no lumps. Let it set for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Add approx. 1 large glass water in steamer and heat it over medium flame. Grease it's trays (thalis) with 1-teaspoon oil. Add 1 teaspoon oil and Eno in batter.
  3. Mix well until it starts to bubble on surface or for approx. 1 minute, make sure not to over mix it.
  4. Pour it into a greased tray until it's half capacity and place in steamer. Steam it for 3 minutes over high flame and then 12 minutes over medium flame.
  5. After 15 minutes, insert knife or toothpick in it and check if it comes out clean. If it does, then it is ready. If not, then steam it 2-3 minutes more.
  6. Take out trays from steamer and let - it cool for 3-4 minutes. Cut prepared sooji dhokla into small squares.
  7. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a small pan for tempering. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds in it. When they begin to crackle, add green chilli and curry leaves and sauté for few seconds and turn off the flame. add water in it.
  8. Pour prepared tempering over rava dhoklas and garnish them with chopped coriander leaves.
  9. Tips and Variations: - - You can use 1/4 teaspoon cooking soda in place of Eno in above recipe.Don’t keep batter idle for a long time after adding Eno. Add it just before pouring the batter in greased thali.Steam cook on a medium flame to make them spongy. Do not steam on high flame for long time.
