The ingredients needed to make Vegetable pulav:
  1. Prepare 500 gm basmati rice
  2. Make ready 100 gm beans
  3. Prepare 100 gm carrot
  4. Prepare 200 gm peas
  5. Take 250 gm potato
  6. Take 1 small cauliflower
  7. Make ready to taste Salt
  8. Make ready 2 tbsp Biryani masala
  9. Take 1/2 cup Fried onion for garnishing
  10. Get 1 tsp Kedwa
  11. Make ready 1 tsp Rose water
  12. Get 1 tsp Yellow food colouring
  13. Get 100 gm pure ghee
  14. Prepare Oil for frying
Instructions to make Vegetable pulav:
  1. Cut all the vegetables into small size
  2. Half fry the vegetables with salt to taste in it separately because each vegetable will takes it's own time to cook
  3. Keep aside these vegetables
  4. Soak the rice one hour before the cooking time
  5. After that boil the water and add salt to taste and then add those soaked rice into it
  6. Let the rice cook for 10-15 mins and once done strain it
  7. Take a cooking pot(dekchi) and put half rice into it
  8. Then put a layer of those fried vegetables upon it
  9. Sprinkle some biryani masala on it
  10. Again add the remaining layer of rice
  11. Mix a pinch of food colouring with a mixture of kewda and rosewater
  12. Now pour this mixture on the rice spreading it all over so that all the rice is covered with the colour
  13. Pour ghee above the rice and and add some fried onion and sprinkle few pinches of biryani masala for the taste and aroma
  14. Lastly put it to steam for approximately 1-2 minutes in low flame and the vegetable pulao is ready to serve
