Savory Honey Roasted Chicken: So, there are times when it's just so much fun to try out a new ingredient, spice or food combo. Here's an easy way to cook up a super yummy honey roasted. Place chicken on rack in shallow roasting pan. Carefully loosen skin above breast meat.

Instructions to make Savory Roasted Chicken:
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Add salt and pepper to cavity of chicken.
  3. Stuff cavity with lemons, garlic, onion, thyme, and rosemary.
  4. Smear 1 tbsp of butter over top of chicken and drizzle with olive oil.

  6. Place bacon strips across the top of the chicken breast, slightly overlapping, if needed.
  7. Slice skin near the drumsticks. Place chunks of butter by both drumsticks and wings.
  8. Place on a roasting rack in center of the oven, and roast for approximately one hour, or until juices run clear when poked with a fork. Bacon will baste chicken while it cooks.
  9. Remove from oven, carve, and serve!

Place chicken on rack in shallow roasting pan. Carefully loosen skin above breast meat. Combine onion salt, thyme, savory, orange peel and pepper; rub half of herb mixture under loosened skin.
