  12. Take 2-3 garlic cloves roughly crushed

  14. Make ready 1 pinch asafoetida
  15. Make ready As required Finely chopped fresh coriander leaves to garnish
Steps to make Beetroot-Tomato Rasam:
  1. Peel beetroot and apple. Chopped into cubes. Chopped tomato. Boil all together with 1 glass of water in pressure cooker for 3 whistles. Cool it.
  2. Blend boiled beetroot tomato and apple. Pour in it pan. Add 1 cup of water. Keep it for boiling. Add dessicated coconut powder. Mix well.
  3. Add rasam powder and salt. Boil for 5 minutes.
  4. In tadka pan add heat oil. Add mustard seeds, cummin seeds, as splutter,add crushed garlic, dry red chilli pieces, curry leaves and asafoetida. Pour this tadka on boiling rasam. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Pour Hot delicious Beetroot-Tomato Rasam in serving bowl. Garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves. Serve/ Relish Nutritious Beetroot-Tomato Rasam with boiled rice. For Diet you can just sip this delicious hot rasam.
